Annotation:

HPV-associated diseases still remain a significant problem worldwide due to their high contagiousness, prevalence, variety of clinical manifestations and severe complications. Since 2006, in order to prevent human papillomavirus infection (HPV), 111 countries around the world have successfully introduced the vaccine into their national vaccination calendars. In Russia, vaccine prevention of PVI is carried out within the framework of regional programs, including in the Moscow region, which in 2008 became a pilot region of the country in this matter.

World experience in vaccine prevention of PVI proves its safety and effectiveness in reducing the incidence of PVI and associated pathologies (genital warts, cervical dysplasia, cancer of the cervix, vulva and vagina). Effective use of current experience and future advances in vaccine prevention of HPV can allow all countries to move to the high level of coverage that is necessary for the final elimination of HPV-associated pathology.
