ALTERNATIVE THERAPY FOR SYMPTOMS OF GENITOURINARY MENOPAUSAL SYNDROME IN WOMEN

Annotation:
Genitourinary menopausal syndrome is a common pathology in postmenopausal women, requiring mandatory treatment to reduce the risk of progression.
The purpose of the work was to evaluate the effectiveness of the non-hormonal phytocomplex with hyaluronic acid ESTROHYALTM PLUS in women with genitourinary menopausal syndrome.
Material and methods. We observed 62 women aged 51–62 years with a clinical picture of genitourinary syndrome. The examination included general clinical data (microscopy of a vaginal smear, Pap test, video colposcopy, ultrasound examination of the pelvic organs, determination of the composition of the vaginal biotope using real-time polymerase chain reaction using the Femoflor-16 test system, determination of vaginal pH using litmus tests Biosensor AN strips, calculation of the vaginal health index). Statistical processing was carried out using the Statistica 10 En software package (StatSoft, Inc.) and Microsoft Excel 2016.
Results. After a month of using the dosed cream, the absolute majority of women (92.7%) experienced positive dynamics of the process, expressed in an increase in the number of vaginal lactobacilli, a decrease in pH, the disappearance of sensations of vaginal dryness and discomfort, and a decrease in the severity of dyspareunia.
Conclusion. The use of alternative therapy in the form of a vaginal phytocomplex with hyaluronic acid ESTROHYALTM PLUS is highly effective in women with menopausal genitourinary syndrome.
