Dizziness and cognitive impairment may be manifestations of the same disease. These disorders occur in chronic cerebrovascular pathology and anxiety and depressive disorders. Diseases of the peripheral vestibular system can also be accompanied by cognitive dysfunction: disturbances in spatial orientation, decreased navigation abilities. Patients with vestibular diseases may experience decreased concentration, feelings of derealization and depersonalization. The connection between dizziness and cognitive dysfunction may be due to common pathogenetic mechanisms and pathological changes in the structures of the central nervous system. An important aspect for selecting effective therapy is timely diagnosis of the causes of dizziness, which can be caused not only by brain damage, but also by diseases of the peripheral vestibular system. Early diagnosis of the cause of dizziness and cognitive disorders, selection of adequate therapy and prevention of their further progression are of great importance. The most effective approach to the treatment of dizziness and cognitive impairment is

including drug therapy, psychological training, stability training exercises and rehabilitation on a stabilographic platform with biofeedback. Among the medications, idebenone and betahistine hydrochloride are effective in patients with dizziness and cognitive impairment.
