Annotation:

Currently, the trend towards a high incidence of inflammatory diseases of the cervix continues. Against the background of a long course of cervicitis of various etiologies, chronic changes in the cervix can form with the further development of dysplastic processes. Patients with chronic cervicitis of specific and nonspecific etiology are considered at risk for developing cervical cancer. Clinically, cervicitis is characterized by the presence of mucopurulent discharge from the cervix and other signs of inflammation, contact bleeding (after sexual intercourse, during a gynecological examination). An asymptomatic course is also possible. In the distant future, chronic inflammation for women results in the development of potentially dangerous complications (endometritis, salpingoophoritis, infertility, miscarriage, etc.), which radically affects the reproductive function of patients. Therefore, an important aspect of the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cervicitis is the timely use of modern diagnostic and treatment methods, which will allow us to determine personalized tactics for the management of patients of reproductive age.
