Annotation:
Treatment of cognitive impairment (CI) is an important global health challenge. Good results are achieved by complex effects, a combination of non-drug and pharmacological strategies. The article highlights modern ideas about the cognitive reserve hypothesis - the ability of the brain to resist cognitive decline, the main factors influencing cognitive reserve, methods for preventing the development and progression of CI.
The results of our own study of the treatment of non-dementia vascular CIs are presented. Medication correction plays an important role in the treatment of CI. Data are presented on the effectiveness of choline alfoscerate (Gliatilin) in various diseases accompanied by cognitive decline.
