POSSIBILITIES OF OPTICAL-ELECTRONIC DIAGNOSTICS OF CERVICAL LESIONS IN MODERN CONDITIONS ON THE TRUSCREEN DEVICE: WORLDWIDE AND DOMESTIC EXPERIENCE (LITERATURE REVIEW)
The literature review presents foreign and domestic experience in optical-electronic diagnostics of cervical lesions using the TruScreen device. The TruScreen optoelectronic device measures the physical properties of tissue. The optical-electronic system evaluates the ability of cervical tissue to reflect and refract the infrared and visible light spectrum in parallel with measuring its electrical properties. The device, using a manual sensor, sends a low-level optical and electrical signal that penetrates the entire depth to the muscular layer of the cervix. By being reflected and refracted in a certain way, the signal makes it possible to detect even small pathological changes. Due to the deep penetration of pulsed waves, it is possible to obtain data not only on the superficial, but also on the deep layers of the cervix. The device also allows you to identify changes in the bloodstream that occur during precancerous conditions. The results of work carried out in various countries show high (up to 96%) accuracy of research using the TruScreen scanner. These data coincide with earlier data
studies that also proved that diagnosis using the TruScreen device has high sensitivity and specificity, and in combination with the HPV test reaches almost 100%. In this regard, the possibility of using TruScreen optical-electronic scanning should be considered as the primary method for diagnosing precancerous diseases of the cervix, especially in HPV-positive patients.
