Annotation:
Memory loss is a very common clinical symptom that is observed in various diseases and secondary brain dysfunction. The article presents modern classifications of memory (short-term, episodic, semantic, procedural), and discusses the cerebral foundations of the mnestic function. The most common complaints of patients with memory impairment and their possible clinical interpretation, methods are considered.
objectification of mnestic disorders. A detailed description is given of the most common dysmnestic syndromes in clinical practice, which include memory impairment (hippocampal type of memory impairment), recall failure (nonspecific type of memory impairment) and transient amnesia. The main differences between different
types of dysmnestic disorders and diseases in which memory impairment occurs. Modern approaches to drug therapy for memory disorders are presented, and the role of nootropic drugs is discussed in detail.
