Annotation:
The article provides a review of the literature on the effect of oral infection on the development of gestational complications such as preeclampsia and premature birth. The presented data indicate the need to identify odontogenic foci of infection and carry out their sanitation at the stage of pregravid preparation. This will prevent relapses of dental diseases during pregnancy and avoid adverse obstetric and perinatal outcomes.
