Cervical diseases occupy a leading place in the structure of gynecological morbidity among young women. The problem of early diagnosis and prevention of cervical diseases associated with the human papillomavirus (HPV) has attracted special attention in recent years due to the sharp increase in incidence, significant contagiousness and high oncogenic potential of this pathogen. Considering the proven role of HPV in carcinogenesis, the frequent elimination of the pathogen (75–80%), there is still no consensus regarding the validity of the diagnosis of HPV infection and the timing of its implementation in cervical pathology in young people. The presence of a large number of clinical, subclinical, latent forms of this pathology determines the need for timely diagnosis and treatment of patients of any age. The article presents foreign and domestic experience in the use of optical-electronic diagnostics of cervical lesions using the TruScreen device, which has high sensitivity and specificity (in combination with the HPV test, almost 100%). In this regard, the possibility of using TruScreen optical-electronic scanning as a primary method should be considered

diagnosis of precancerous diseases of the cervix, especially in HPV-positive young patients and young women.
